Janette responds to the freedom and energy in the natural world and communicates this through spontaneous mixed media. Collage papers also play a large part in disrupting the surface, made with inks and mulberry tissue (naturally shed bark) embedded with dried seaweed. The collage then becomes interwoven within the painting to create layers and depth to characterise the landscape.
