Landscape in Watercolour

An informal & friendly day of basic drawing and landscape based watercolour painting, suitable for beginners & intermediate students.

︎Starting with experimental & fun drawing exercises, which show that you can draw better than you think you can, we will then progress on to using line, tone, form and composition.

︎We will then move into the basics of watercolour & painting a landscape with lots of information about materials, equipment & techniques. 

︎In the afternoon, you’ll create another landscape painting, this time developed from your own sketches, photographs & references. 

Materials and inspiration image will be provided but if you have anything in particular you’d like to use, please bring it along.  

Carmen Ambrozevich is an award-winning artist, a former tutor at Edinburgh Printmaker and is a professional member of the Society of Scottish Artists and Visual Arts Scotland.
