SILK PAINTING FOR YOUNG ARTISTS

Have fun learning the craft of PAINTING ON SILK

Easy techniques for ages 6-16 – no experience necessary

All equipment provided and tuition led by experienced tutor, Moira McLennaghan.

£10 per person or £18 for 2 

Students will learn how to use silk outliners and dyes, experimenting with colour mixing on silk before producing their own silk masterpiece.  The silk creations can be taken away to make into a card, small bag or cushion.

Dukes Ceramics Studio

Two afternoon sessions - £50 for both sessions

17th July & 24th July 2025, 1.30pm – 3.30pm (8-12 years)

Spaces are limited to only 6 to allow for plenty of one-to-one support.

Students will be immersed in the world of clay and introduced to core hand building techniques.  There will be opportunities to try throwing on the wheel – this will work in rotation. Students will explore functional and sculptural forms as well as experimentation with gazing techniques.

Summer School - Monday 4th & Tuesday 5th August 2025

10am - 3pm

Suitable for 6 - 9 years

£130 including lunch and a snack on both days.

Students will be immersed in creative projects ranging from drawing and printing to collage and painting. Projects will be inspired by exciting, influential artists as well as the world around us.

Expect fun, imaginative experiences whilst also building on core artistic skills!

Led by experienced artist and teacher, Robyn Wade. All materials provided.

Skateboard Design Summer School - Thursday 7th & Friday 8th August 2025

10am - 4pm

Suitable for 9-12 years

£149 including lunch and a snack on both days.

Young artists can unleash their creativity in this highly personalised, design orientated Summer School. Robyn will lead each young artist through the design process from initial enquiries to development of ideas and on to a final outcome. Each participant will leave with their very own, personalised skateboard! Designs can be inspired by anything from a favourite book or film to the natural world or a famous artist.

Led by experienced artist and teacher, Robyn Wade. All materials provided, including the skateboard.
