NEEDLE FELTING

WITH JO LEE

Saturday 26th October or Saturday 23rd November

10am - 1pm

£50

This needle felting workshop is a relaxed space where you can learn the art of needle felting and create your very own masterpiece. We will be using wools and silks to create a 2 dimensional felt painting.

The workshop is suitable for both total beginners and more experienced people looking to develop their needle felting skills.

We start by learning about the various tools and getting familiar with how to use the wools.

Everyone starts off by making a practice piece. Once you feel more confident we progress onto the main felting which will be framed at the end of the workshop, ready to take home and hang on the wall!

The timing is deliberately relaxed to allow for lots of chat and to make the most of a space dedicated to being creative. It’s good for the soul!

All the materials and equipment that you need for the workshop are included in the booking fee. I also have a wide range of resources as inspiration for your felted painting, however, please feel free to bring along a favourite image that you might like to use as inspiration. Landscapes, seascapes and sunsets work particularly well!

Maximum of 12 people per workshop

About Jo

I’m a felt artist living in Dunbar, East Lothian with my family and a menagerie of animals. When I’m not in the sea with my fellow Salty Sisters I’m capturing the sea and the landscape in felted paintings.

The sea and sky are an endless source of inspiration to me as well as the wildlife that we find on our doorstep. Puffins are a particular favourite of mine!

Being immersed in the process of capturing a moment in wool is a joy to me and it also brings me such joy when someone comes along a workshop convinced they are not creative and leaves a few hours later full of pride and amazement with a felting that they have made themselves.

To book a place on this workshop, please complete the form below and specify which date you would like to take part in. Jo will respond to you shortly.
