CREATIVE FLORISTRY WORKSHOPS
WITH JENNY BELL HARMAN OF
STUDIO SEAPINK
Saturday 23rd March
1.30 - 4pm
£70
Flower Cloud Making
Join Jenny of Studio Seapink to create a beautiful and unique floral cloud with the bounty of interesting textures, shapes and colours of dried flowers, seedheads and grasses. In this workshop, you’ll be lead through the method of making a cloud, with the freedom to nurture your own creativity and expression though it’s making. These enchanting flower clouds will be botanical art pieces made in the correct scale to put in your home and enjoyed for many months, even years to come. They make a beautiful and different way to bring a bit of nature indoors.
There will also be the opportunity during this class to also learn more about the flowers we will use, a bit about seasonal and sustainable floristry and growing and drying your own flowers.
Refreshments will be provided.
Being environmentally responsible is important to us and as such all the materials for this workshop are sourced as locally as possible from British & Scottish specialist flower growers, produced without the use of artificial dyes or bleach; and our mechanics will be sustainable too, no floral foam will be used.
About Studio Seapink
Studio Seapink is a floral studio run by Jenny Bell Harman and based in Dunbar, East Lothian. We mainly produce event floristry, installations, commissions and workshops, with a focus on creativity and sustainability. Built on her love of locally grown flowers, her artistic background and environmental concerns, Jenny set up Studio Seapink in late 2019. Prior to this Jenny studied Zoology and Fine Art, then worked as an artist and educator in communities, museums and galleries before falling in love with creating with flowers while planning her wedding in 2010. Some time (and two children) later and following retraining, Jenny worked for some of the UK’s finest florists over several years before starting her own business - which now also involves growing some of her own flowers and gardening. She is a member of Flowers From the Farm and The Sustainable Floristry Network.
